Polaroid pictures appear as if by magic. Now they are disappearing forever. Please upload the final Polaroid you take to our gallery, as a tribute to the film.
The final batches of Polaroid integral film have passed their expiry date. When supplies either spoil or run out, the world will lose something special. The Impossible Project are racing to create a new instant film, but these are the last days of Polaroid images.
To celebrate the film’s life and mourn its passing, we’re asking Polaroid photographers around the world to post the last Polaroid they ever take to this site, creating an online archive of the final Polaroids in existence. Think of it as a wake for the Polaroid picture.
When you take your last ever Polaroid, simply scan it and upload it to our gallery. The gallery is constantly updating, a lasting testament to the joy of chemical instant photography.
Whatever subject you choose for your precious final photo is good by us, but we can’t accept obscene images. We can’t make you swear that it is actually the very last Polaroid you take, but please be honest and respect the intention of the site!
We’re also making a documentary . If we can come and film you taking your last Polaroid, please get in touch: info@mylastpolaroid.com.
